Many architects and end users feel best about building with products, such as flexible wood veneer sheets, that are certified to be kind and responsible to the environment, and are ecologically sustainable. The Forest Stewardship Council certifies that certain flexible wood veneers were, in fact, harvested from well maintained forests. Architects and designers should be aware of the fact that very few wood species are available FSC certified, and should therefore make their sheet wood veneer specifications with this fact in mind.
